When navigating and using the grid view there are several colours that may appear in the grid which signify different states that the data is currently in.
OK: The data has been successfully synced to the device.
SYNCING: The data currently displayed in the grid is waiting to be synced to the device.
INCONSISTENT: There are conflicts in the data between what is stored on the cloud and what is stored on the device. The data will display a tooltip when hovered over explaining why it is inconsistent. This can be corrected by changing the data to a new value or by right-clicking the cell and clicking the Apply current value option in the menu.
USER ERROR: The data has been changed by the user and has been given an invalid value. This can be corrected by changing the data to a valid value.
DEVICE ERROR: The data has been changed by the user or an external tool and has encountered an error when attempting to sync the value to the device. This can be corrected by verifying that the device has no issues which would affect the syncing process. Changing the data to a new value will attempt to sync the value to the device again.
Some common device errors:
- The field is marked as dirty - will retry automatically
- The field failed to apply to the device - will retry automatically
- The target device is missing - will retry automatically
- There is insufficient storage - will be applied automatically if storage is freed up on the control system, usually by removing things from the control system
- The specified field is not supported by the device - will retry automatically
- The specified field is not supported by the gateway - will be applied after upgrading firmware version if it is supported in the new version
- The specified field could not be written by the software - will retry automatically
PAUSED: Synchronisation for the cell is currently paused and will not attempt to sync to the device. Hovering over the cell will display a bit more detailed information about why synchronisation has been paused and what can be done to resolve the issue.
