What are system variable tags?

System variable tags are a new concept in the cloud used for associated a label to a set of system variables that will be used as targets for various things in the cloud such as in sequences as delays or targets for actions or for light sensors as targets for the target lux or twilight on/off lux values.

They can be accessed in grid view under the Site perspective.

To create a new tag you must specify the tenancy you want to create it for and the index number. Indexes are unique per tenancy. Once created you can give it a label, generally labelled as the thing that you are going to use the system variable for.

After you have created and labelled your tag you can then choose this tag in the system variable view which will now associate that variable to the tag you picked for it. Now anytime you target this tag from a sequence or light sensor or anywhere else system variable tags are used and the control system matches the same control system the system variable is on, it will use this variable's value.
