Control system overview – Analytics
The Analytics page provides detailed information about the operational state and history of a control system. It is used for diagnostics, fault-finding, and verifying that the controller is operating reliably over time.
A site must have a valid analytics licence to view this data ( included in zencontrol basics)
You can access the Analytics view from:
Site > Grid view > Control system tab > right-click a control system > Control system overview > Analytics tab.
The following analytics are displayed.
Connection status
Connection status graph
Displays the connection state of the control system over time. The graph shows when the controller was:
Disconnected
Connected
Rebooted
This helps identify patterns such as repeated disconnects, power issues, or reboot events.
Connection status table
Shows a log of each connection event, including:
Occurred at – time of the event
Last connected – previous connection time
Is connected – current connection state
Region – controller region (for example, Sydney)
Disconnect reason – reason for the disconnect, such as firmware upgrade or server shutdown
Current profile
Current profile graph
Shows which profile the controller is operating under over time. This allows you to confirm when a profile was applied and how long it remained active.
Audit log
Audit log table
Lists significant control system actions, including:
Firmware upgrades
Stop emergency tests
Factory resets
Controller restarts
Other special commands
Each entry records:
Occurred at – time of the action
Type – type of command or action
User – who initiated the action (or system-generated)
Metadata – additional details, such as tags or restore mode
This provides a clear audit trail for compliance and troubleshooting.
Commits
Commit log graph
Shows commit events on a timeline, allowing you to see when configuration changes were applied to the controller.
Commit log table
Provides detailed information about each commit, including:
Occurred at – time of the commit
Type – for example, “Start apply DALI commit” or “End apply DALI commit”
User – who initiated the commit (for example, zencontrol system or a named user)
Source – where the commit originated, such as the cloud
Together, these analytics give a comprehensive view of the control system’s connectivity, configuration changes, and operational history.
