The Settings page is where a user can change personal preferences used in the commissioning process. You can access it within the Addressing wizard by tapping the Settings button at the bottom of the screen.
The following settings are availble on the settings page.
- Lighting Search Type
When identifying lights within the Addressing wizard, a user can choose between:
Binary search (default)
Linear search
A binary search is typically the fastest way to identify a light fitting, as it uses the fewest iterations to find the light you are looking for. In contrast, a linear search will identify lights one at a time until the device you are searching for is found.
2. Emergency Search Delay.
When searching for an emergency device, each emergency device will identify in turn until the correct device is found. The user can specify, in seconds, the time between each emergency device flashing. This allows the process to be optimised to account for connection lag or delays in user reaction time.
3. Emergency Function Test
Some emergency devices may use identification methods that are difficult to see, such as a small indicator LED that flashes and is hard to distinguish from a distance. In these cases, a user may choose to start a function test on the emergency device to make identification easier.
4. Lock identifier and Address
This ensures that if the address is changed, the system ID is automatically updated to match.
5. Disable light Sensor Selection
Some sensors may trigger repeatedly if there is a lot of light or if light levels keep changing. For these sites, the user can disable the light sensor’s physical selection.
6. Quick Commission
This will auto-populate the device and instance labels with the group name, helping to reduce commissioning time.
7. Auto Label With Identifier
This will place the device ID number in the Location field, helping to reduce commissioning time.
8. Other user settings
For additional user commissioning options, tap User search settings.
The following setting is found in User search settings.
- Seach Alternation
This setting determines the light levels that devices will switch between when running the different commissioning methods. The user can select:
Max and min levels
Max and off levels
2. Set Unrelated lighting
This setting defines the light level applied to all lighting that is excluded from the addressing process. The user can select:
The max level
The min level
Off level
3. Vibration in Search
Enable vibration feedback during commissioning to help speed up the process. Each time the user needs to provide feedback, the phone will vibrate.
4. Sounds in Search
Enable Sound feedback during commissioning to help speed up the process. Each time the user needs to provide feedback, the phone will make a sound.
