Renewing authentication

As the app connects to control systems on the local network, it collects challenges from them. When the app next connects to the zencontrol cloud, those challenges are signed and authorisation for each of those control systems is extended by 30 days.

Renewal only applies to control systems the app has reached on the local network. A controller that was powered off, on a different network, or on another site will not have been renewed — check that its key is green before relying on offline access to it.

If a cloud sync reports a Gateway Challenge Sign warning with "No challenges exist for control system", run a local sync to obtain a challenge, then run the cloud sync again.

For controllers licensed for offline mode, authorisation remains valid until the site owner rotates the security keys. When this occurs, the user must repeat the authorisation process.
