The zencontrol commissioning app supports three-way data synchronisation between the cloud, the phone application, and the application controllers. Data between the cloud and controllers can be synchronised in the following ways:
- From the cloud to the controllers via a direct internet connection.
- From the cloud to the controllers via the phone application.
From the Phone through the cloud to the controllers.
Additionally, when sites are fully connected, data can flow to the controller through multiple channels depending on speed and reliability.
The phone will automatically sync data with the cloud and the controllers whenever a suitable connection is available. This ensures that users working in basements or other areas without internet connectivity will have their changes synchronised to the cloud once they return to an area with service.
This synchronisation process also allows other users to change settings via the cloud at the same time. When connectivity allows, these changes are then synchronised to the controllers and to any phone applications connected to the site.
Manual Syncing
Users can also force a sync to the cloud or controller(local) using the buttons shown on the site dashboard.. If a sync is required and has not occurred, the sync button will be highlighted in orange. Pressing the button will start the sync.
The button will open a page that shows all the site controllers and the sync status for each controller
When the sync is complete each controller will show the following message
When performing a local sync, if the controllers are not found because they may be turned off or not connected to the same network, then you will be shown the following message.
