In order to view historical values for a field in grid view you must enable the field history section of the page by clicking the button in the footer. This must be done every time you load the page as it is disabled by default.
This will display a history section below the main table. From there you can click on a single cell and it will, after a short delay, query and display the historical values for that cell if possible. By default it will show you up to 4 value changes but you can click "View more" to display all changes.
There are 4 pieces of information you will see in each event
A) The date and time that the value change occurred. This value is in the local site time zone.
B) What the value change was. If there is only one value here then that indicates it was probably just a state change (see C).
C) The state of the new value. If there was an error with synchronising the value to the control system then the error will also be apart of this message.
D) The user that changed the value. This will be a name of the user or will be zencontrol system if the change was made by the cloud, usually the control system itself.
Field history will not work for every cell. The history section will prompt you if there is any issues display the history for that cell. It will not display it if the cell is not editable or if the cell is not currently supported. For a cell that is not supported, you can contact support to request us to implement support for it.
To restore the cell value to a previous value, you can click the button in the top-right of the historical value and it will restore it. If there is no button there then that means it cannot restore to that value. Usually this is because it was changed to an empty value by the cloud and that field does not support a user changing it to empty.
A confirmation box will appear so that you can confirm the field that you are about to change and the value that you are about to change it to.
