Before proceeding, please note that control systems with the following issues may fail to restore settings and require some re-commissioning.
- Devices with product name: Generated identifier for non compliant device
- Devices with product name: Non compliant device
- Control systems running with automatic identification mode disabled
- Generation III products shipped with firmware versions 2.15 and upgraded to a later version afterwards.
In grid view, go to the control system view and highlight one or more control systems that you want to repair and click Repair control system. Repairs can be used to restore a previous backup of the control system database. It can also be used to replace a control system.
This will load a new tab in your browser which will look very similar to repairing a device location. Choose what action was undertaken to repair the control system, fill in the relevant fields, click the Repair button and done.
Any repairs made will appear in the control system overview.
If a replace is being carried out, add a replacement controller of the same type to the site and ensure that the controller has the same licenses as the controller being replaced. Select the "Replaced Control System" option and from the replace dropdown, select the newly added controller and click Repair.
With non compliant devices, it is extremely likely that post update, you will have an entry in the device location for each device, stuck in adopting state. You will also likely see new entries that are marked as not commissioned. It may be possible to match the adopting entries with the new entries (with identification) and do a device replace.
