Precommissioning refers to the process of linking unlinked products to an existing device location when address commissioning.
You can link these to existing OR new device locations by matching the location identifier.
For example, if you have a precommissioned device location with the identifier 3, when you find the product in the address commissioning wizard setting the desired identifier to 3 will link the product to the device location. This will be visible in pending changes and will link once the pending changes are saved.
If no unlinked device location exists you can create a new device location to attach to by setting the location identifier to a free number. This will immediately create the location with this location identifier but other information including the attached product will not be applied until the pending changes are saved.
