Moving a wireless device to a different control system

Prerequisites:

Before proceeding with the commissioning process, ensure you have the Android commissioning application installed on your device. Additionally, make sure you are physically positioned directly under the device throughout the entire process.

Device Removal:

1. Open the zencontrol commissioning application.
2. Log in with your credentials if not already logged in.
3. Select the appropriate site from the list of available sites.
4. You will now see a list of control systems for that site.
5. Select the control system that the device you want to remove is currently assigned to.
6. In the control system view, tap on "Devices".
7. Locate the device you want to remove in the list.
8. To initiate the removal process, swipe left on the device row. This action should reveal a "Delete" or "Remove" option.
9. Tap the "Delete" or "Remove" option. The app will likely ask for confirmation - confirm that you want to proceed.
10. The app will now guide you through the factory reset process:
    • It will provide specific instructions for resetting the device, which may include power cycling or pressing a physical button on the device.
    • Follow these instructions carefully.
11. If any issues occur during the process, the app will provide troubleshooting steps.
12. After successful removal, the app should confirm with a message indicating the device has been removed and factory reset.
13. The device should now disappear from your list of device locations for this control system.

Remember to stay close to the device throughout this process, as proximity can be important for maintaining a stable connection during the removal and reset procedures.

Once the device is successfully removed, you can proceed with recommissioning it on a new control system as described in the original "Commissioning Process" section.

Commissioning Process:

To commission the device on the new control system, access the control system interface and navigate to the "Address Commissioning" option. Select the "Wireless" tab and proceed to commission the device onto the new control system.

After making the necessary configurations, remember to save any pending changes.

Note: In the case where the device functions as a wireless bridge with DALI devices behind it, you may need to wait for the device to adopt the new configuration before entering the address commissioning wizard again to commission those DALI devices.
