Commissioning
To start the commissioning of the Wireless daughterboard, press SW2 < 2s or power cycle the fitting to have it reboot. Once the board has rebooted it will be advertising the BLE.
Please note if the connected driver is a emergency driver with a battery, you will need remove the power then tap the emergency test switch 5 times to turn off the battery power then you can resupply the power to the driver, thus rebooting the Wireless daughterboard.
Using the zencontrol commissioning app, select the site and gateway the fitting will be adopting to, start the commissioning wizard and then select the wireless tab to view all the fittings BLE devices in the area of the app. Standing close to the fitting should cause it to be ordered to the top of the list when you refresh the list (drag down).
Select the fitting from the list and confirm the device to be commissioned is identifying. Fill in the details regarding the device location and floor then press save. You should then return to the wireless list with the newly commissioned device missing.
Once you have commissioned all the devices you wish to adopt to the controller, go to the pending changes tab and press sync. This will then instruct the gateway to hunt for the new devices and instruct them to connect to the Thread network. Once connected to the Thread network indicated by 2sec slow flashes on the daughterboard, the devices will respond to broadcast on/off commands as the devices are being discovered via DALI protocol.
Switching networks
In the rare case you need to switch a device to a different Thread network (stronger signal) you will need to factory reset the daughterboard and remove them from the currently adopted gateway. You will need to use the zencontrol Express app to instigate the factory reset via BLE. Alternately, if you have access to SW2 on the daughterboard you can hold the SW2 button for between 10-15secs.
You will need to instruct the Wireless daughterboard to go back to BLE advertising as per the first step of commissioning. Once the device is quickly flashing load the zencontrol Express app, select Single device, the device type in question and then select the device from the list, again ordered by signal strength.
Once you have selected the device you will need to confirm the device is identifying. The app will then extract the data from the device to bring up the device details. Select the top right settings icon to factory reset and confirm the action. The Wireless daughterboard should now start to flash faster indicating it is either in BLE or on a solo thread network.
Once the device has been reset, you will need to load zencontrol commissioning app and select the previously adopted gateway, select the devices to view the list of devices the gateway is aware of, find the device we have reset then drag the device to the left to delete the entry. Once the device location has been removed from the gateway the device will be free to be readopted on another thread network as per above.
