Floors let you organise the control systems on a site. In Commission by zencontrol you can create, rename, and delete floors from the site's floors list. Changes are applied to the cloud on the next cloud sync.
(Available from version 2.8.0 of Commission by zencontrol, on Android and iOS.)
Open the floors list
From the site, open Floors. The floors list shows every floor on the site.
Create a floor
- On the floors list, tap the + button in the bottom-right corner.
- Enter a Name (1–64 characters).
- Tap Save.
Floor names must be unique within the site. Names are compared ignoring accents, so "test" and "tést" count as the same name. A name also can't be empty, start or end with a space, or contain line breaks — the form won't let you save until it's valid.
Edit a floor
- Tap the floor in the list to open its actions.
- Tap Edit Floor.
- Change the Name and tap Save.
Delete a floor
- Tap the floor in the list to open its actions.
- Tap Delete Floor, then confirm on the "Delete Floor <name>?" prompt.
You can't delete a floor that still has a control system assigned to it — the Delete Floor option is disabled and shows "Floor can't be deleted as it's assigned to a Control System." Move or remove those control systems first.
Syncing to the cloud
Creating, renaming, and deleting floors are applied on the next cloud sync. If another floor with the same name already exists in the cloud when you sync, the cloud sync report shows an error such as "Unable to create Floor – <name>. A Floor with this label already exists in the cloud. Please rename your Floor or delete it," and the conflicting floors appear in red in the floors list. Rename or delete one of them and sync again.
