The number of control devices that a controller is licensed for is found in the add-ons section, under the ECD heading.
If a control device is not licensed, it will still be addressed and appear in the cloud as normal but its event messages will be ignored (and the monitor will indicate this). Therefore, an unlicensed pushbutton, light sensors, absolute input, occupancy sensors and general purpose sensor will not work with our system.
All currently released controllers will have 64 First-party (zencontrol) and 64 (Third-Party) licenses. Controllers released after a certain date will have their license count set appropriately for the product SKU.
A first party device is a zencontrol control device
A third party device is a control device by any other manufacturer
An exempt device is currently our smart driver and the internal control device our controller.
Licenses are applied in short address order, meaning if you have less licenses than you need, you must change the short address of the ones you'd like to use to a lower number, in order to have them take the available licenses.
