By default Colour dimmers send out a step command that causes the light to move 1 mirek. The relationship between mirek and kelvin is as follows:
mirek = 1 000 000 / kelvin
kelvin = 1 000 000 / mirek
For example,
200 mirek = 1 000 000 / 200 = 5000 kelvin
201 mirek = 1 000 000 / 201 = 4975 kelvin
From this, it can be seen that a single mirek step can be quite small.
Fortunately, colour temperature devices have a setting called the "Step Increment" which can increase the amount of mirek steps that a device will apply.
This can be found in the Device Types -> Colour Control section.
