Instance Bitwise Input
This instance is present when the zc-io-6 is in a bitwise operating mode, see zc-io-6 ECD Configurations for more. This instance represents the associated inputs in a bitwise value. The inputs used per operating mode can be seen below.
Input | Operating Mode | ||
0-10 | - | - | 0x83 |
IN1 | - | 0x82 | |
IN2 | 0x81 | ||
IN3 |
The instance resolution depends on the number of instances being used. The legend for the bits are:
Bit 4 | Bit 3 | Bit 2 | Bit 1 |
0-10 | IN1 | IN2 | IN3 |
Instance settings are supported on this instance. When the instance contains the 0-10 Input, the instance setting for Input Supply will become present.
The instance active state determines if the instance is considered pressed when it is shorted or open. The instance supply setting controls if this instance is in sourcing mode or sinking mode. In sourcing mode it enables a < 2mA current limited 10V supply so that other controllers may sink current for the instance to sense. In sinking mode the instance does not provide any supply to the line and instead will sense a sourced current from another controller on the line.
Setting | Name | Setting Description | Configuration | Configuration Description |
192 | Input Supply | Controls if this instance is in sourcing mode or sinking mode | 0 | The instance is in sinking mode (default) |
1 | The instance is in sourcing mode | |||
194 | Active State | Controls whether the instance is active when shorted or open | 0 | The instance is pressed when the input is shorted |
1 | The instance is pressed when the input is open (default) |
Any instances not used by the this instance will retain their previous functionality, see zc-io-6 Instances: 0-10V IN and zc-io-6 Instances: IN.
