Configurations
The zc-io-6 has many configurations to ensure the device is fit for purpose. The zc-io-6 consists of 2 ECGs and 1 ECD. The ECD Instances have many level of configurations to fit the instance to your purpose
ECD Operating Modes
Operating Mode | Description | |
0x00 | Standard | The ECD operating mode has no impact on configuration. Configuration is performed at an instance level. |
0x80 | ||
0x81 | 2Bit Input | IN3 and IN2 are represented as an Absolute Input Instance where the input value is 0b<IN2><IN3>. |
0x82 | 3Bit Input | IN3, IN2, and IN1 are represented as an Absolute Input Instance where the input value is 0b<IN1><IN2><IN3>. |
0x83 | 4Bit Input | All instances are represented as an Absolute Input Instance where the input value is 0b<0-10><IN1><IN2><IN3>. |
0x84 | 2 Led Mode | Instance 0-10 and IN1 are inputs whilst IN2 and IN3 act as LED indicators. |
Bitwise Operating Modes
In operating modes 0x81, 0x82, and 0x83 inputs are represented in a bitwise instance at instance number 0, unused instances remain the same from instance number 1. In these modes the inputs will create a binary representation of the inputs where each input counts as a bit in the input value. For more information, see zc-io-6 Instances: Bitwise Input.
Single bit values can be achieved in Standard operating modes with a resolution of one, see zc-io-6 Instances: 0-10V IN and zc-io-6 Instances: IN.
Instances
The instances will always follow the following table with only the number of instances being present.
Instance Number | Name | Purpose |
0 | Bitwise Input | This instance represents a combination of inputs as a bitwise representation. |
1 | 0-10V IN | This instance can read a analogue input voltage up to 24V. It can also source current for those fittings that may sink a 0-10V signal. |
2 | IN 1 | This instance can read a analogue input voltage up to 24V. |
LED Operating Modes
Instances
The zc-io-6 has 2 instances; 0-10V IN, IN 1. These instances each have their own configurations to fit the instance to every situation. The LEDs act as a pull down when active. This means that the voltage supplied to the LED must be from some other source and the GND pin of the LED should be connected to the LED output of the zc-io-6.
Instance Number | Name | Purpose |
0 | 0-10V IN | This instance can read a analogue input voltage up to 24V. It can also source current for those fittings that may sink a 0-10V signal. The LED indicator for this instance is IN2 |
1 | IN 1 | This instance can read a analogue input voltage up to 24V. The LED indicator for this instance is IN3 |
Standard Operating Modes
Instances
The zc-io-6 has 4 instances; 0-10V IN, IN 1, IN 2, and IN 3. These instances each have their own configurations to fit the instance to every situation.
Instance Number | Name | Purpose |
0 | 0-10V IN | This instance can read a analogue input voltage up to 24V. It can also source current for those fittings that may sink a 0-10V signal. |
1 | IN 1 | This instance can read a analogue input voltage up to 24V. |
2 | IN 2 | |
3 | IN 3 |
0-10V IN
The 0-10V IN instance acts as a analogue voltage input for the purpose of reading control signals from 0-10V and 1-10V controllers. This type is configurable allowing your input signal to generate the DALI event you need. This instance includes a sourcing mode to supply a 10V signal on this line for other controllers to sink. For all configuration options of this instance see zc-io-6 Instances: 0-10V IN.
IN
The IN instances are binary sense instances. These instances can accept a voltage up to 24V allowing integration with VIn voltage circuits. These instances can individually be configured to fit the environment. For all configuration options of these instances see zc-io-6 Instances: IN.
