You will want to keep your control systems up to date to ensure security issues are patched and fixes for various bugs that you may encounter over time are patched.
Control systems less than 0.6.4 do not have firmware upgrade migration support. If you upgrade a control system below this version it will be factory reset and require recommissionning.
When the cloud drops support for a control system version the following things occur:
Issues support is turned off- After that date, issues will no longer update for those versions of controllers.
Forced upgrade detection is turned on - The cloud detects database issues with the control system, disables syncing and requires an upgrade to fix the incorrect state.
