Over time we will release updates to the device firmware for better performance and operation improvements. The zencontrol range of devices allow for remote firmware updates via the cloud.
Upgrading control system firmware
To enable control system updates you can login to your zencontrol cloud portal and edit the site that needs the upgrade. In the site settings, you will see the section control system upgrade preferences which is off by default.
To setup automatic updates to your devices we need to know when the best time for the devices to be updated and if you want to stagger the update process. During the upgrade the devices will stop normal operations which could range between a few minutes to 30 minutes; it is therefore recommended to schedule the upgrade period during non-operational hours to ensure the safety of the sites occupants. Furthermore we also offer the ability to stagger the updates so only one device in the area is updated at a time to allow some normal operations if needed.
Expiry date sets the date that you believe the updates should have been concluded by, please allow for the staggered option when dealing with larger number of devices.
For this upgrade period we need to know what version of the release you would like, Recommended is for a stable release of the device which will include matured features. Latest contains the latest updates and young features that are starting to be migrated out to the real world. If you want to be one of the first to checkout the new features then this is for you.
You can also manually tell a control system to bootload by navigating to the control system view in grid view, right-click on one or more control systems, expand the upgrade firmware section of the menu and pick which release you want to upgrade to. The version for that release will be displayed in brackets if possible.

No bank after starting bootload
If you get the error message No bank after starting a bootload then generally this means that you are not running the latest firmware on the control system. You should ensure it is above version 1.9.
