Override types
There are numerous override types to choose from, each stops the controller from processing triggers, for that type, for the specified override time. Each time the push button is pressed the override restarts. Any push button press can set a higher override time, but cannot lower it, except for Lockout (with switch) or Lockout (no switch). Overrides can be cancelled at any time by setting the override time to disabled.
- Default
- No effect on controller behaviour
- Lockout (no switch)
- Controller will not respond to any lux, colour, intensity or pir triggers for the specified override time
- Will ignore any override time changes that are not from Lockout (with switch) or Lockout (no switch) presses
- May reduce the current override time
- Lockout (with switch)
- Controller will not respond to any lux, colour, intensity, pir, absolute input or switch triggers for the specified override time
- Will ignore any override time changes that are not from Lockout (with switch) or Lockout (no switch) presses
- May reduce the current override time
- Lux
- Controller will not control lux level of lights via light sensors for the specified override time
- Colour
- Controller will not send Tc Tuneable White Colour Changes due to Tuneable White Sequence for the specified override time
- Intensity
- Controller will not send Tc Tuneable White Intensity (ARC) changes due to Tuneable White Sequence for the specified override time
- Switch
- Controller will ignore switch triggers for the specified override time
- Controller will ignore absolute input triggers for the specified override time
- PIR after off
- Controller will ignore PIR triggers for the specified override time
- PIR + lux
- Colour + lux
- PIR + colour + lux
Apply override
There are two commands for the short press action of a push button. The apply override field determines how the override is applied, depending on which command was sent. Commands can either remove overrides or apply them. Only the overrides set by the override field will be applied/removed.
- Disabled
- Apply on first action
- A switch press which uses the first command will cause the override to be enabled
- Apply on second action
- A switch press which uses the second command will cause the override to be enabled
- Remove on first action
- A switch press which uses the first command will cause the override to be removed
- Remove on second action
- A switch press which uses the second command will cause the override to be removed
- Apply on second action, remove on first action
- A switch press which uses the second command will cause the override to be enabled
- A switch press which uses the first command will cause the override to be removed
- Apply on first action, remove on second action
- A switch press which uses the first command will cause the override to be enabled
- A switch press which uses the second command will cause the override to be removed
- Always apply
- A switch press which uses the first command will cause the override to be enabled
- A switch press which uses the second command will cause the override to be enabled
- Always remove
- A switch press which uses the first command will cause the override to be removed
- A switch press which uses the second command will cause the override to be removed
For example, if the user creates a custom toggle switch which has go to scene 0 as the first command and go to scene 1 as the second command, they may wish to apply an override when the lights go to scene 0. For this, apply on first action would be set as the apply override. To also remove the override when changing to to scene 1, the apply on first action, remove on second action should be selected.
Override time
Override time specifies how long an override should be applied, there are three options available.
- Cancel
- Cancels any currently running override for the override type of this push button
- No timeout
- The override will remain active until it is explicitly cancelled
- Custom
- Specifies the number of seconds an override should apply for
- Pressing the same push button again will cause the time to restart
- Time may be reduced by any push button press which has the override type set as Lockout (with switch) or Lockout (no switch)
- Time may be cancelled by any push button press which has the override time configured as cancel
