Why does the controller tell me that we are over current?

The zencontrol room controller, and zencontrol LCM have an inbuilt DALI psu with a maximum loading of 235mA.

When the total power consumed by bus powered devices exceeds this limit, the power supply enters a overload protection state and a notification is provided to the user.

To resolve the issue, some bus powered devices will need to be removed or replaced with devices with a lower power consumption.

On Room controller and LCM products, the some individual channels may be isolated to allow the remainder of the control system to function until it is rectified.

Note: Over current warnings can also be caused by a low resistance between the DALI conductors. A low resistance can be an indicator of a partial short or abrasion from a metallic surface.
