A virtual control device allows for a third-party device to to send switch press / sensor occupancy commands to zencontrol control devices that will interpreted and hence used like a regular physical input device.
The third party virtual switch/sensor can be used to trigger actions, sequences and function with other switches and devices.

Virtual devices are supported on all controller products
Setup
A user will need to enable the virtual device instances on each controller to use this feature. This is done on the devices page in the same way as a traditional DALI input device. The user can select from the virtual device types listed below.
Use
Through one of the supported interfaces, a third-party controller can issue switch press / occupancy commands directly to the virtual instance interface. For more information please refer to the Third party interface
Virtual instance Types
- Switch: Short Press / Long Press
- Absolute input: On / Off
- Sensor: Occupied / Not Occupied
Limitations
Each controller supports a maximum of 2 virtual switches.
Please ensure that you have the latest firmware on your controller to use this feature.
Supported in firmware version 0.7.6 and above.
