This article gives instructions for making additions and/or alterations to Onsite Planview. For general day-to-day usage see Using the Onsite Planview.
These instructions assume that you have an onsite Planview downloaded (see: Setup).
Making modifications
After navigating to the Plans page, you should see an initial floorplan:
Commissioning mode
If the floorplan looks like the above screenshot, with the buttons in the top right of the planview then it is in "Commissioning mode". In this mode, markers and polygons can be added and markers can be dragged to a new location.
To toggle commissioning mode, select the Floor Setup tab at the bottom of the planview navigation bar. Commissioning mode can be set or unset via the checkbox just above the Save button. Be sure to save to effect the change.
Adding new markers
In commissioning mode, clicking the marker icon in the top right of the planview (in the first screenshot above, it's labelled "Add markers") will enable new markers to be added to the current plan. In this mode, the icon should change to a teal colour and clicking the map will add a marker in that location.
Clicking on the marker will select that marker and open the details pane which allows for adding one or more identifiers, or removing the marker:
Sidenote: In the onsite planview, markers are just marked locations with assigned identifiers (eg. 201.1 for controller 201, fitting 1). Any fitting which matches that identifier will be represented by a marker with that identifier assigned. This is a subtle but important difference from the cloud planview, which gives device locations a location on a particular map.
Changes will only persist if saved via the save icon in the top right-hand corner. To reset to the last saved state, refresh the page by pressing F5.
Editing and removing markers
In commissioning mode, markers can be dragged to a new location by clicking and dragging, and once selected (via a click, represented by a teal halo) their components can be modified or the marker removed under the "Marker" tab:
Adding group polygons
In commissioning mode, clicking the polygon icon in the top-right panel will change the cursor into a crosshair to signal the creation of a new group polygon.
Click on the map to start drawing, clicking new locations to create new corners (vertices). To cancel the creation of a polygon, press the ESC key on your keyboard. To complete the drawing, click on the nearest existing corner.
Once drawing is complete, the shape can be adjusted by clicking and dragging the opaque squares. New corners can be added by clicking the transparent squares. Clicking on a square without dragging it will remove that corner.
Once the polygon is complete, it should turn grey and the vertices will disappear. Clicking the polygon once more will open the details pane where you can set the controller identifier and group number:
Be sure to save any changes that you wish to persist.
Editing and removing polygons
Clicking on a polygon and then selecting the "Advanced" tab in the details pane will allow for editing the colour, opacity, border width and shape of the polygon, or removing it altogether:
To modify the shape, select "Show/hide vertices".
Linking tag
Any polygons with the same "Linking tag" will select together when clicked and be controlled (via the control functions) together if selected as a group. A linking tag can be any string of text, for example "breakout areas".
