This article is related to setting up a BACnet configuration in the cloud using grid view.
For more information in using BACnet in general see How do I use BACnet.
For the points exposed, check out the PICS document.
Please ensure that you have paid for and received a license for your bacnet, prior to using this guide.
Settings for BACnets can be found under the Add-ons tab on the Bacnets page.
We do not automatically bootload controllers that have received a license, therefore, once your controller has been licensed, your installed firmware may be green which means the cloud would like to update your controller.
To remedy this, you can enable upgrade preferences on the site to allow for automatic bootloading or you can simply right click on the controller in the Control System->Controllers view to update the controller, immediately. This should change the installed firmware to the correct version.
For more information regarding how to use and read the Add-ons view click here. Like most add-on pages, it will show ticks for licenses that you have purchased for your control system and will have a green dot at the beginning of the row if BACnet is currently enabled and being used by the control system. BACnet configuration is split up into three main sections. You will want to check the enable checkbox (next to the inputs license), set the device id and port.
Basic
Here, you can set the device id and port of the bacnet. You must reset your controller (right click in controller view) to apply changes to ports and device ids).
FDR server
Server settings for registering foreign devices.
Server
BACnet server is intended for aggregating foreign device registrants (FDR) into a single endpoint. This reduces the burden on 3rd party software licensing which charges per endpoint. It acts as a hardware based client/server instance.
Discovering in YABE
Once you have enabled your bacnet, you should be able to see the device in YABE.
Place your local IP into local endpoint in the Bacnet/IP section and click the Start button
You should find the device in the device list
