The grid view controller settings are organized into three tabs: Inbuilt Relays, ICD (Input/Control Device), and Channel.
- Inbuilt Relays:
- Represent physical relays on LCMs (Lighting Control Modules) and RCMs (Relay Control Modules).
- Two main types: Channel relays and SELV (Safety Extra-Low Voltage) relays, with SELV designed for low voltage applications.
- Key settings include:
- Function: Specifies the relay's operational purpose.
- Startup State: Determines whether the relay initializes in an open or closed position.
- Inverted: When checked, reverses the relay's normal state interpretation.
- ICD (Input/Control Device):
- Encompasses both physical and virtual control devices connected to LCM/RCM channels.
- All control systems supporting virtual switches are displayed here.
- Key components:
- Channel Interface: Represents a physical device on the controller.
- Virtual Interface: Software-based interfaces that can be purchased and activated for various control purposes.
- The "Type" field indicates the specific category of control device.
- Instance types for all ICDs, including those supporting virtual switches, can be configured in this tab.
- A control system reboot is required to apply the "Type" field to the associated ECD instance.
- Channel:
- Used to define default group assignments for devices on each channel.
- Changing group assignments here may convert the channel to a system group.
- If a previously assigned group is no longer in use, it reverts to a normal group type.
