A diagnostics and maintenance enabled device is used to report control gear and light source diagnostics for the device. These can be useful to help monitor and manage issues for the device.
These analytics will appear in two views under the device types tab in grid view, control gear diagnostics and light source diagnostics.
Devices of this type will also have new issues that are specific to this type of device which can be seen in the device location page.
Control gear diagnostics
- Operating time
- The number of seconds the control gear has been running for
- Restarts
- The number of times the device has restarted
- Power supply
- Voltage
- The current voltage reading of the device. A low value can trigger the supply undervoltage issue and a high value can trigger the suppler overvoltage issue
- Frequency
- The current frequency reading of the device
- Voltage
- Power factor
- The power factor of the device
- Temperature
- The temperature in degrees Celsius of the device. A high value can trigger the thermal derating issue and a very high value can trigger the thermal shutdown issue
- Output current
- Control gear output current in % related to the nominal output current setting of the control gear
- Overall failure
- Detected
- Occurs when a general control gear failure is detected. Displays whether it's currently detected as an issue
- Count
- The number of times this issue has occurred
- Detected
- Supply undervoltage
- Detected
- Occurs when the power supply voltage is very low. Displays whether it's currently detected as an issue
- Count
- The number of times this issue has occurred
- Detected
- Supply overvoltage
- Detected
- Occurs when the power supply voltage is very high. Displays whether it's currently detected as an issue
- Count
- The number of times this issue has occurred
- Detected
- Output power
- Detected
- Occurs when the output power is very high. Displays whether it's currently detected as an issue
- Count
- The number of times this issue has occurred
- Detected
- Thermal derating
- Detected
- Occurs when the temperature of the device is high. Displays whether it's currently detected as an issue
- Count
- The number of times this issue has occurred
- Detected
- Thermal shutdown
- Detected
- Occurs when the temperature of the device is very high. Displays whether it's currently detected as an issue
- Count
- The number of times this issue has occurred
- Detected
Light source diagnostics
- On time
- Total
- The light source operating time in seconds
- Resettable
- The number that the on time total value was reset to. Usually set when the light source on the device has been replaced as the number should reset back to 0
- Total
- Restarts
- Total
- The number of times the light source has been turned on
- Resettable
- The number that the restarts total value was reset to. Usually set when the light source on the device has been replaced as the number should reset back to 0
- Total
- Temperature
- The temperature of the light source in degrees Celsius. A high value can trigger the thermal derating issue and a very high value can trigger the thermal shutdown issue
- Voltage
- The number of volts currently being read for the light source
- Current
- The number of amps currently being read for the light source
- Overall failure
- Detected
- Occurs when a general control gear failure is detected. Displays whether it's currently detected as an issue
- Count
- The number of times this issue has occurred
- Detected
- Short circuit
- Detected
- Occurs when there is a lamp failure with a short circuit. Displays whether it's currently detected as an issue
- Count
- The number of times this issue has occurred
- Detected
- Open circuit
- Detected
- Occurs when there is a lamp failure with an open circuit.
