Overview
A trigger is an event which is caused by devices such as switches, sensors or external commands. Triggers are an input to the system that can be evaluated and can cause something to happen.
A trigger can be one of the following types:
- Sensor or switch or external on command (Includes everything)
- Sensor Only (Excludes switches and external commands)
- Action Switch (Excludes sensors and external commands)
- System address
- Tuneable white
- Comfort
- Controller startup
- Tridonic DGC occupancy sensor
- Tridonic DGC light sensor
- Tridonic DGC IR Remote
- Tuneable RGBWAF
- System variable change
- Scene change
- Unverified target cron or profile entry
- Always run in profile
- Can only set On entry sequences and will be triggered when the controller enters the specified profile and retriggered every time the sequence ends.
Triggers will list for the Condition -> Target before triggering in the specified profile.
Scheduled triggers (far right of trigger view) allow for the trigger to be triggered at specified times.
Simulating a trigger
To simulate a trigger, the trigger must first meet a couple of requirements. The condition type, condition target and run on target must be fully synchronised to avoid unexpected behaviour. You must also right click on an on entry or standard column for a profile in order for the options to be clickable. If your trigger map is not set to custom then clicking the option will simulate it immediately. If it is set to custom you must select a trigger map row to simulate as there are multiple options to choose from. If there is only one valid sequence set for the trigger map but it is set to custom then it will use that row and no confirmation dialog will appear.
