Smart Blind Overview

The zencontrol Smart Blind is a field-mounted AC blind controller that supports both wired DALI and DALI+ wireless installations.

Features include:

• Current sensing for motors over 100 W
• Directional control with an isolating relay
• Start/stop control
• Bluetooth connectivity
• DALI+ wireless connectivity using OpenThread
• Wired DALI connectivity

Auto Mode is available for motors that draw sufficient current for reliable detection. If the motor’s current draw is too low to be detected, the blind controller must be configured using Manual Configuration Mode.

In wired DALI mode, the product can be used with most DALI control systems. However, some configuration settings may not be accessible through your chosen control system. In these cases, use the zencontrol Blind Configuration app to adjust settings such as the operating mode and blind run times.

If your DALI control system does not support multi-master operation, complete this configuration before scanning the blind controller into the system to ensure the configured values are read during the scan. Take care to ensure that the control system does not subsequently overwrite these values.
