Configuring a Switch in zencontrol for Use in Control4

Configure the switch in zencontrol
Ensure the switch is properly added and configured within the zencontrol system.

Set the correct group target
The switch must target the DALI group that will correspond to the Control4 room. Control4 rooms are mapped directly to zencontrol groups, so assigning the correct target ensures the switch appears in the correct room after synchronisation.

Disable actions in all switch profiles
All actions for the switch should be disabled across every profile in zencontrol. This ensures that the switch does not trigger local actions within the zencontrol system and instead allows Control4 to handle the button behaviour.

Synchronise the system
In Control4, open the zencontrol controller and run Sync with zencontrol or Commission with zencontrol from the Actions menu to import the switch into the system.

Assign functions in Control4
Once synchronised, the switch can be used within Control4 programming to trigger scenes, control lighting groups, or perform other automation tasks.
