System Variables

zencontrol drivers can synchronise system variables into Control4 and place them within the associated room.

Only system variables that have an associated target in the zencontrol system will be synchronised into Control4. The assigned target determines which room the variable belongs to.

System variables allow data to be read from devices within zencontrol and passed into Control4 for use in programming and automation. In some cases, Control4 can also update these variables, with the changes then sent back to the zencontrol system.

This functionality can be used for applications such as air conditioning setpoint adjustment, volume control, and other integrations where two-way data exchange is required.

System variables provide an effective way to extend the functionality of Control4 and enable more advanced integration between the two systems.
