An adopting row is created when the row has been created in the cloud but is waiting to be confirmed as created on the control system. Rows that have this behaviour will have a status column at the start of the row which will usually either be a black tick which indicates everything is OK or a green arrow indicating that the row is currently adopting. Hovering over the row will provide more information. Other views may have other icons for the status row but those are the main two.
If a row is currently adopting, it is possible to delete the row. The reason for doing so may be because it has gotten stuck and cannot be written to the control system or you just no longer want the row to be created. You can just right-click an adopting row and click the applicable remove option. This will remove the row and ensure that the value is not written or is deleted on the control system. Apart from the device location view, the remove option will not appear unless at least one adopting row is selected.
