How does zencontrol relate to IoT? 

zencontrol is built using the IoT concept, except it differs in an important way.

IoT devices typically talk directly to a server, which can issue commands and control, however most need the internet to operate. 

zencontrol systems do not need the internet to operate, but with the cloud, the additional features and benefits are increased. We are able to identify every connected device uniquely just like an IoT service, but just with DALI products.

The zencontrol system builds on known and Standardised technologies (DALI and TCP/IP) and provides almost everything that IoT offers but with the security and protections that sites require.

Technically, using the definition of IoT, our system is IoT.
