Please ensure that you have the latest firmware on your controller to use this feature.
Supported in firmware version 0.6.15 and above.
Yes, each controller can support up to 2 virtual DALI switches.
A virtual DALI switch allows for a third-party device to integrate and work with the inbuilt zencontrol logic.
The third party switch can be used to trigger actions, sequences and function with other switches and devices.
Virtual switches are supported on all controller products
A user will need to enable the virtual switches to use this feature. This is done in the same way as if you were enabling or disabling a traditional DALI input device.
Through one of the supported interfaces, a third-party controller can issues a limited number of commands directly to the virtual switch interface depending on the virtual switch type selected allowing you to use your switch input in the same manner as any other DALI switch.
Virtual Switch Types
- Switch: Short Press / Long Press
- Absolute input: On / Off
- Sensor: Occupied / Not Occupied
Each controller supports a maximum of 12 inbuilt instances. Virtual switches can be used up to the limit. IE. Application controllers can have 12 virtual switches & LCMs can have 2 virtual switches.
